[The Hive: Episode-01]

that was awesome...but

that was really really great, some great art and animation even pretty good story which is rare, buuut it was almost completely silent, no background music, and I can't believe you didn't have voice acting! I'm sure this will do welll, but pleease put voice acting in the second episode, you really need to, seriously. If you need voice actors, you can go to

www.voiceactingclub.com and post yourself an audition with character lines and voice types. Take that advice, we at the VAC work on newgrounds flashes all the time. It'll really improve your flashes. It was great, but the silence was killin' me.

Thanks for the tip. At one point, I was going to add voices, but the problem was I couldn't find someone would work cheap enough or wasn't godawful. But thanks for the heads up on www.voiceactingclub.com. This may have solved my problem.

I enjoyed this

I liked it alot. good humor great speed and cool moves. I liked the sound effects that you added, helped out a lot. Good special effects too. How did you (and other people) do that part where sonic is running and the background is blurred going very quickly?

Thanks. Glad you liked it. The trick behind the blurry background is first, you need to take the image is you're using for a bg into photoshop and use a slight motion blur on it. After that, take that image into flash then make a symbol and place the image inside it. Finally, put a small 3-frame motion tween on it and let it cycle over repeatly.

[Three:Escape part-a]

it was ok

not that great. the music didn't really sync, there wasn't a lot going on, very slow moving. The art style was way too simple. It was just shy of stick figures. they were basically madness style sticks. There were too many tweens, and they didn't move very quickly. It needs some work. Not horrible, but not that great.

not bad

it was alright, it seemed like it was mostly tweens, so a lot of the movements didn't look great. I've never been a big fan of tweens. Good job though. But when you make the gun fire or him turn around, he spins around like a 2D object if you messed around, I'm sure you could get a much nicer way of doing that.

great animation..but..

no audio and no color dropped the interest for me. Some SFX, music would've made this much more enjoyable. when she hit him with the dog then kicked him would've been much funnier and cooler if there were audio and color. I bet if you redid it with color and audio you'd do really well.

Well, I'm sorry about the lack of audio and color, but I couldn't find any music I thought complimented it all that well, and I didn't have time to do it in color. My next short will have audio and color. Thanks for the help though!

[Bitches Ain't Shit Part 2]

Very nice

This was an improvement in my opinion. Even though they were made together :p I kinda liked a lot of this one more. You should export your audio at a higher quality to make it sound much better, but that wasn't a big deal. (I was recommended 64 kbps and it sounds great is pretty good with file size) The Foster's ref was funny. Though I didn't really like that you directly quoted Waiting with 2 types of girls. If you use someone's joke you need to immediately make it known that it wasn't yours in my opinion. It was funny yes, but if someone hasn't seen waiting, the ref is gone. It was a quote, not a reference, but again, no biggie. I liked the character, a lot of it was real. The loss of voice actor sound for the girl when he cuts her off, that was a funny bit. I'm sure it inconvenienced you but it was funny.

congrats on the awards, I'm sure you'll improve on your next movies or episodes for this series? Good luck.

I know, I was trying to figure out how to do the Waiting quote...I should've drawn the background as the restaurant, and dressed him as a waiter for that part...

And like 7 voice actors bailed....this whole project was one problem after another. :<

And it's the mic, not the KBPS, cuz it's at 128. :B

Well it was ok.

I give you a decent score for animation. The animation was alright, but the voice acting really disappointed me. It wasn't the quality or the voices that were the problem. It was the acting itself. It wasn't very convincing, no offense to your actors. Like the paper bag part where it's yelling NOOOO that's a very funny joke, but it was a whispered yell...you should've had your actor yell it out like it was real. Much more realistic. I bet if you really had some great acting and superb voice acting quality, you probably could've got a daily winner, even front page. But that really dropped it for me :/ Also, I've never been a fan of subtitles, that's just me. Distracting, takes me away from the scene at hand. good luck, I'm sure you'll improve. Also, for future, you might not want to submit 2 parts of a series at the same time. You should submit 1, wait for it to catch a little then submit the second. People who like it will go back and find the first. Sorry for the long review :p Good luck

Ya, like....7 voice actors flaked on me, so I ended up having to do most of them. And I know about the subs, but the audio's so bad that you need it. LOL.

haha nice job

tomamoto makes the flash really. Voice acting really does pick a flash up. Like Ego's stuff, it's all about the jokes and comedy and voice acting. Great job, it was funny. the cell phone one was great. haha. Great job guys. There should've been more. I reeeally want to voice act for an entire flash, dammit! haha :p If you're thinking about more, I'll help you out!!! It's so much fun!
