I love this!

Dude, you are truly amazing, this is awesome! I love the 3D and the fighting and the sound is great. All of the action is top notch, perfect, actually...

But wow if the voice acting isn't bad... Black needs a new voice actor bad, he's not as deep and gruff as he's pretending to be. It just isn't working for him in my opinion. Even Gunchest's voice isn't great, but he's probably the best one.

Some of the script could be changed as well such as the part when Black said it wasn't a great present - that was a tad cliche lol.

But all in all it gave a great vibe, but the voice acting reminded me of the bad acting from some bad anime or power rangers. That area needs more.

Everything else is just perfect.

Incredible

Wow, that was long in waiting... can't wait for the rest of it.

The amount of detail you put into it is crazy. The way it started so slow gave it such a movie feel. Even the details like putting the brake lights on the back of the car and little things that were written and shown...amazing job. You are an artist.

that was too cool. And the fact that she was listening to fm 106.9 is funny because that's a radio station near where I live. Great job! I loved it! Wants more!

cool story

An intriguing story. The crucifying was a little bit much for me, but that's all the story, so it's ok. The demon looked very cool, I would go with a different voice - subtitles should be for people who can't hear it, so those of us who can... should be able to understand your characters. Go with a good filter that is demonic but audible.

The excessive tweening was rather off-putting. When the characters glided away from the funeral and then the shovel floated around without someone on it. You should use more frame by frame animation to inspire some life into your story. The audio was pretty good - I'd suggest seeking out some of newgrounds voice talent, but if your actors show some improvement that's ok.

this has a lot of potential, and the still art was cool, but the tweening and lack of shading was a turn off. Everything was fall too flat - maybe show a little more depth since you're going for a more realistic look. Shading, scenery, different colors to show how far away things are. Use the brush tool a little more maybe so everything doesn't look so "line-y." My art teacher told me "No no no... there are no lines in real life..." it's more where two colors converge together. (too indepth, I know :p ) But great job, good luck on the full version, hope to see it sometime soon!

I wish I knew...

I wish I knew how you get your cartoons to look so perfect. The lines... everything..... HOOOW??? I just don't get it.

This was great - sound, animation, art, content... great job overall. I really have nothing to suggest. This is great.

Now THAT'S how you do a video game parody

Fantastic job! I really loved it. The music was very simple and fitting. The character drawings were so great, smooth, and clean. Everything looked top notch. I thought it was really clever to switch into the game and go into sprite mode while keeping the other animation as well.

I would have liked it if the whole game sequence wasn't in sprite mode. The way you used tweens was awesome and made it look much better than full character tweening, but I would have loved to see more frame by frame movement. When Mario was running it looked so awesome and frankly... perfect. More of that would have been great.

This is awesome, a well deserved award. It is obvious you worked hard on this and had a vision going in, and didn't just shit this out really quick. Great job my friend. You are a great artist, I hope to see more animations from you soon.

Loved it!

You have really improved! I'm glad you got the sync'ing all fixed up, I remember a while back you said you were having audio lag problems. Looked great to me. The characters look awesome! Was wondering about the little underwear outline on the soldier, made him look like an action figure lol, but it looked awesome. The eyes and facial expressions were great, especially kandi's at the end.

I wasn't sure if the soldier was supposed to be Ian in the beginning since they kind of sounded the same, but then Ian's hair at the end was a dead giveaway. Great job, dude - I hope you release toons more often, you're one of newgrounds' best in my opinion.

VACKenny responds:

Now you're just kissing my butt >:(

But yeah, I'll try to release more stuff soon, but... trying to be an animator on top of a 20+ hour work schedule and 14-16 credit hour college schedule is just stressful.

it was alright for what it was

an overall ok movie. It was entertaining - the jokes were kind of weak, but there were some pretty good ones. What dropped your score was that it really didn't show me your flash skills at all. I probably wouldn't even put something like this on youtube. I just didn't find it very funny, there was no real animation besides slight eye and mouth movements, and, besides camera angles, there was barely any movement. If you had to put one of these type movies on newgrounds, it's usually better to do some crazy stop animation or something.

It was alright, but for your next movie, I'd put a lot more into it. And if you're relying entirely on humor, I'd get some friends together to help you edit your script and strengthen and suggest jokes for you. Newgrounds also has a full arsenal of voice actors at your disposal. Don't hesitate to use them.

Good luck on your next animation.

Woo! A helpful review haha. These are a rare gift.
I understand your points completely. And yes, I was relying on humor. And I tested the script out on about 4-5 people and they loved it.

It's not for everyone, but thanks for taking the time to write something other than "kool... funny" or "wolverine does not suck! This is why, but I won't help you and your cartoon making!"

Great job!

Nice one Kirb, this is my favorite part of part 1 so far. I thought it was most funny. The best was when Meat was freaking out at the end.

You have become really good at fbf animation, I love the improvements you've made. I can't wait for part 2 to be released. Great stuff, dude.

WOW!

that was incredible! Hard to believe somebody other than Square made that... great job!

Though I saw huge FF7 influences. Looked just like the Sector 7 reactor, and the main guy looked a lot like Cloud and I saw a little Barret in there too. They just had a much more light-hearted look to them. This was awesome. HOW did you do that? 3D amazes me... seems like so much more work. There's no doodles involved, so much more depth and science than there is to just being a regular artist and drawing it out. O_O

A great comback

Back after 4 years it seems? Wow - this was an extremely professional looking animation. The camera movement and the slight easing of John's body and the other characters... fantastic! I could see this on Adult Swim at the very least - much better than many of their programs. Great job.

As for material, I loved the song! haha And I guess it wasn't originally about McCain, but that was a great change lol. The weird chorus area is so creepy and pretty cool.

What other programs did you use? Or could you really generate all those particles and crazy backgrounds and liquify his face in Flash?

SecretAgentBob responds:

I've actually submitted a few things under other accounts, so I haven't been "totally" gone, ha ha. I do want to get my more recent stuff on here though so you should see a few more of my movies being uploaded here soon.

The song was in fact originally about McCain. If you'll notice, during the last debate he said "my friends" a total of 22 times. He says it many times during every speech he gives. After noticing this I decided to make a movie about who his friends were. And they are delicious vegetables.

The characters were drawn in Flash, the backgrounds in Photoshop, and then everything was animated in After Effects and exported as video. It was in After Effects that all of the visual effects like the face melting were created.
