this was fun

First off, very DBZ lol.

Secondly, a lot of the times it just seemed like heavy camera zooms and tweens and very little animation. The art was great for the most part - could use improvement - but it was very good. There were just so many still images tweening around the screen. There were times with really great fbf, but it should have been that way throughout the whole thing. You definitely can do fbf, so you should work even harder on that area and improve your next submission with lots of detailed fbf like you had at points in this submission. Good luck - I enjoyed this.

Oney responds:

thanks dude, i agree with it all, i was gonna go back and fbf shit after i had animated it to the end, but i wasn't arsed. thanks for viewing!

meh submission

The animation was meh, not a lot to it. The art wasn't too impressive - seen better seen worse. You lost points for creativity since you took the ideas from a VGcats comic. The voice acting for Navi wasn't great, and was unnecessary. It would've been cooler and more nostalgic for OoT players to just here her say "Look" or "Hey" and then show a dialogue box. The joke was killed because as soon as the fire caught and you heard the tree crumbling, you already knew what the joke would be. If it had a quicker pace you could have surprised the audience and got a better laugh.

Overall, a fine submission, but not that great.

kinda weak :/

I was excited when I saw that Hans and Ego were in a Dark Knight spoof, but I was most disappointed :(

The script itself had no jokes. I'm not sure of the "idea" you thought of... you just sort of quoted the movie, and then said some other stuff that weren't really jokes. Ego's Batman was alright, Hans' Gordon was fine, but the Joker was just plain awful. You should have done some actual casting. I understand if you're a big fan and you want to play the Joker, but you should recognize whether or not you can do a good impression. There are several VA's on newgrounds that do some great Joker impressions.

I just didn't see any effort to sound or act like the Joker. The lip smacking was completely out of character - he does just smack his lips, he's bothered by his scars.

The animation was alright - I really liked the look of the Joker and some of the fbf looked very cool. Batman, while kinda funny, didn't look too great - I think you could have made some changes to his look while keeping him funny looking.

It was an alright submission, but having Hans and Ego in it definitely helped your score, sorry :/

awesome stuff

The art and animation were great. The beginning walking sequence was a little long, but the background was entertaining. The fight scene was extremely well animated. that was great. Great fight, great concept, everything was awesome.

the only critique I had were the voices. Igor's voice peaked a lot in his mic, so I'd recommend having someone with higher quality. And I can't exactly critique Flecko as well since you are him... but frankly, your delivery is extremely bland for him. Even the "ENOUGH" part was kinda bland. He just sounded so low and boring for such a cartoony character.

Nice job, you are an awesome animator.

Great job!

This was loads of fun to work with you on. Sad some parts got cut, but it was totally awesome. I hope to work with you again - thanks for crediting me and letting me work with you!

I had lots of fun. Ugh ma gawd!

great stuff

I enjoyed this a lot. The music was a wonderful choice.

The frame by frame was great. Towards the end I was getting a little confused who was who but that's ok. It was great. Doesn't it take a while to draw all those frames of all that combat? Good job.

original and great!

I really liked this. The animation was great, the audio was great, the tone, and the jokes were great. The music really set some moods. It was actually really really sad when Snaily died, but the song playing was funny, and the ending was hilarious.

But man... it was really sad when it panned across his corpse :'(

great stop animation!

great job! Looked great, well thought out, and nice music sync.

What did you do in After Effects?

Totsugeki responds:

Simply everything, except the preloader and the credits ;D

That was fantastic!!

I loved the art and animation, but wow the sketch was just great! Both characters were great.

I'm a sketch, stand up, and improv comedian at my school. I looove sketch, and this was great. I sensed a lot of improv, not sure, but it was well rehearsed if other wise. Fantastic job, so funny, and just great! I loved it.

I was inspired to make an improv game somewhat like this. Maybe the audience provides a product or something and while one person is trying to pitch the idea, the other person is just providing wacky and crazy support throughout. This was great.

If you have any video sketches, I'd love to see 'em. Keep 'em coming! Loved!

sirjeffofshort responds:

Awesome man! I'm glad to have helped to inspire you. I actually started in improv during my college years so best of luck to you. If you ever get any footage of how your version of the game comes out let me know.

We do have live footage, some of which can be found at our website (noreastaproductions.com) or if you youtube search 'noreastaproductions'. You can also youtube 'sirjeffofshort' if you wanna see some of the stuff I did in college. Oh the wacky fun memories. Anyways, thanks for watching and keep an eye out for new ones in the future.

a solid animation

I really liked the look of everything. The animation was done well - you use tweens in a way that doesn't bother which is good. Some of the jokes were funny, others weren't, but overall I liked it.

The voice acting quality was pretty good, the performance it self was good, but I didn't like how you did all or most of the voices yourself. A lot of people can pull that off, but having two main characters who are just regular teenagers voiced by the same guy is very noticeable. It distracted me since I could immediately tell they were both done by the same person, and one of them had a strange more open chest voice, and the other had a higher throaty voice.

They just seemed like strange choices for voices - not really cartoony, not really realistic, just a little off to me. That's just me.

Nice job.

DAGamesOfficial responds:

thanx man. well problem is that I love doing both gordon and ian. nobody else could do it, cus then it just wudnt BE gordon or Ian. so cant change the voices Im afraid. if I changed them now, people would think "wtf? thats not what ian and gordon sound like!" so yeah sorry man xP

but in any case, glad ya liked the cartoon :D
